Using a Video Interview for Self-Promotion

The Video Interview has long been consigned to the realm of Television stations & News Broadcasts and while this is not strictly in the area of Live Webcasting, interviews can (and should) be used either as Live or On-Demand webcasts as they confer instant credibility on yourself, your product and/or your company by being interviewed on camera by a “third party” professional interviewer.

However, the professional or business owner who uses this highly effective technique to promote themselves, their products or services, can realize impressive gains that were traditionally the province of Broadcast TV  Channels.

Here’s an example of a video interview that was used to promote both the interviewer and the interviewee using videocasting (or webcasting) 

These “Interviews” can be of any length and can be shot on location in your offices or in a studio which is outfitted with a ChromaKey (green screen) setup. You can then insert images, videos and even complete Virtual Sets behind yourself, just like you see on TV.

These videos can be posted on your blog, blogs of associates & strategic partners, video sharing sites (like YouTube) or on your Facebook page. But the most powerful utilization of these interviews is when they are submitted to TV News Stations, to generate Free PR and advertising opportunities.
