A question we are often asked is how much does live streaming cost?
Well, the answer depends on 3 factors – all of which are part of a formula used to calculate ‘bandwidth’ – i.e. the total amount of data that streams across the Internet for that particular event.
The factors are:
- The duration of the live stream (event)
- The number of remote viewers viewing it simultaneously
- The quality of the stream (in kilobits/sec).
To uncomplicate this issue for most laypeople, we have created this simple bandwidth calculator on our website, which allows you to enter your event details (number of viewers, event duration, etc.) and automatically calculates how much Bandwidth you will use up during the course of your event.
Note: Our Live Event Streaming Packages come with a certain amount of bandwidth included for free and this calculator is just a rough guide for how much just the actual Bandwidth costs in general. Bandwidth prices vary over time but we try and keep them as low as we possibly can.
